Mexico Veracruz Ixhautlan

Ixhautlan de Café is in a particularly favorable coffee growing part of Veracruz because of its altitude and climate. Coffee production is the main product out of the area and many families are involved in the farming, production, and marketing of coffee. The producers of this coffee practice organic farming techniques including using organic fertilizers and using hybrid varieties that are heartier and disease resistant. Coffee is the culture here Ixhautlan de Café hosts an annual Coffee Fair for all the local producers.
