Kings CX - Mexico Chiapas Mayan Harvest

Kings CX - Mexico Chiapas Mayan Harvest
Cyclocross returns to Cincinnati 10/24-10/25 - your purchase of this coffee supports the organization promoting the event. Plus you're also supporting another phenomenal organization - the one growing this very coffee!
Rosalba Cifuentes Tovia, the founder of Mayan Harvest, started her organization (which has now grown to 70 producers, 50 of whom are women) to work with coffee producers in the area on improving harvesting and processing their coffee to get more competitive prices as well as provide medical and dental assistance to producers who otherwise would not have access to these necessities. Many of these producers work off of small plots of land averaging about two hectares (about five acres), so these increased premiums make a significant difference in the producers’ livelihoods. This Mayan Harvest offering is sourced from 38 family-owned farms in Bella Vista and exported to the US by Rosalba herself.
  • Origin – Mexico
  • Farm - Bella Vista
  • Region - Chiapas
  • Process – Washed
  • Variety Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, Typica
  • Table notes – Orange bitters, toasted pecan, cherry, and a velvet body
