This coffee comes from a descendant of one of the first coffee growers in the West Valley of Costa Rica! Jhonnathan Camacho is a passionate coffee grower who values keeping his family business close while working full time as a doctor.
Here’s some fun biology for you about this bean! This coffee is an F1 hybrid called Milenio, a cross between T5296 and Rume Sudan, an Ethiopian landrace variety. F1 hybrids can only be reproduced by cloning the plants, seeds taken from the plants will not have the same qualities of the original F1 hybrid of the two parent plants! Milenio is known for great cup quality above 1300m and leaf rust resistance.

This coffee was processed after harvest as a red honey, developed in Costa Rica and practiced all over the world now. After harvest, cherry is de-pulped, the dried over several days. This process will affect the flavor of the coffee in the depth and intensity. We taste sweet cherry syrup, white wine acidity, and black tea. This coffee will make a really fun pourover and a great espresso!
