The Tablón de Gómez Project works with over 40 coffee producers in Buesaco, Colombia who have been growing coffees and using their own honey processing method for years. The area is very remote with only an off-road path to the project.
This coffee is what we describe as a regional blend where the coffees are a blend of many farm’s coffees in this project. This method of blending coffee is meticulous and intentional to produce fabulous coffees unique to the area and supporting many farmers at once.
In September, Forest Coffee came to visit Columbus and let us try some great coffees for sale and this one really stood out to our team! We love the story of this coffee, and we think you’ll love how it tastes. This coffee is quite complex in our opinion for a honey process coffee. You’ll first get the classic notes of a high-quality Colombian coffee like caramelized sugars and honey, and then some pleasing lemongrass acidity with a hazelnut aroma.
